Description
This was a painting I did over this past winter in Florida in my Carrollwood neighborhood. I was walking the neighborhood (still looking for my cat) and became intrigued by the beauty of these gnarly group of trees with so much Spanish moss.

Barbara, I am enjoyed your winter scene as well. wonderful work and great textures in this icy, but also inviting scene. F/L.
Barbara Moak replied:
Thank you, Randy. I cannot remember the name of the tree but they look dead in the winter months and then are lovely in the Spring.

So lovely and expressive, I feel like the trees are personified and dancing together, how beautiful F/L
Barbara Moak replied:
I love your comments and particularly the trees dancing together and I did not paint them with that in mind but they sure do. Thank you.

How beautiful, Barbara!!!!! When I was little, my parents would put me in the backseat of the car (with a bucket, I was not a good traveler) and head off to the south. Through the Carolinas, then Georgia, whatever else and finally to Florida. I can't tell you the awe and excitement I always felt at the sight of Spanish Moss!!! Your beautiful, beautiful painting brings back such memories!!! ( Hope you found your cat ... and I just stopped in to see Lucy again!!) ; )) l/f t and p
Barbara Moak replied:
Lois, thank you for the nice comments and the "bucket" gave me a chuckle and reminded me of one of my brothers. Unfortunately I have not found Pumpkie and it has been a little over a year but I still have faith that one day he will coming walking into the lanai looking for treats. I don't know if you read that Lucy passed shortly after I painted her and then the owners asked me to paint their dog Curley.
