Description
It started with my painting several 8x6 canvas panels with an underpainting of acrylic orange and white with the thought that on a nice day I would do some quick, loose paintings plein air of something. I love to watch my feeders from the lanai.. I decided I would try to sketch with colored pencil the basic shapes of the visiting birds. The titmouse and the warbler are often seen on the branches waiting for the woodpeckers and the jays to allow them their turn. However, I see the wrens twice per day because two years ago mama wren came through the cat door and built a nest in the philodendron high on the etagere. Long story short there were 4 born and mom and dad showed them how to exit through the cat door. The all still come to feed and cause a raucous if the cat is on the lanai. I did the construction and then decided it would be fun to connect the branches.
