Every day I see from my studio window my neighbor take his English Cream Golden Retrievers for a walk. My granddaughter has two Golden Retrievers who are more yellow ochre in color and she did not believe it when I told her they were more white. I took her a picture and she said, "You should paint them!" and so I did.
Welcome to my website. I hope you will enjoy my work as much as I do creating it. The following is a brief art biography – Barbara Moak Barbara has always loved art. As a young girl Barbara would visit a secluded site in the woods neighboring her upstate New York home to observe and sketch birds in their natural habitat. She attended the State University of New York at New Paltz and the University of New York at Albany. At New Paltz, Barbara studied under George Wexler and Sheldon Schoenberg whom she credits with teaching her the fundamentals of drawing (Prof Schoenberg told his students if they couldn’t learn to “see” they would never be artists.) She credits this with providing her the foundation for her paintings. While...
